Remittance Uses Customer Account Number Only Email Template
Use this page when the payer has sent funds or remittance using only their internal customer account number, account ID, or buyer code, but they have not identified the invoices the payment should be applied against. This is not the same as an old vendor number problem. Here, the payer is identifying the relationship correctly from their own perspective, yet the reference still does not help your team clear the receivable because it lacks usable invoice mapping. That changes the purpose of the email. You need them to confirm what invoices the account-number payment covers, whether the payment was intended as full or partial settlement, and whether a more detailed remittance file exists behind that internal reference. The result you want is a practical bridge between the payer’s account coding and your receivables application process. It is commercially valuable because the visitor is already working with real inbound payment activity that remains unresolved only because the payer chose an internal identifier instead of invoice-level detail.
